If you love them, you love them! I tried clear plastic inserts on another rifle due to a lack of choice of a metal insert that fit properly. I have not gone back since that day. I find that the plastic allow of a front ring that auto adjusts for lighting conditions, reducing my need to tweak my iris. I suggest trying these out to see it they are for you.
